Singtrece Member Spotlight

If you love what you do, do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life. These are the words that inspired the fabulous songstress Elbonee “SingTrece” McLaurin. As a child SingTrece just wanted to sing. In her words, “I would hear music and I was there!” She was raised in the church and she said “you had to work in church, there wasn’t any sitting around. There was choir, usher board and other boards but singing in the choir, just nurtured her soul. It was the togetherness and meeting with family that lifted her spirit and gave her joy like nothing else.”  

Fast forward to now and SingTrece still gets that same feeling of joy every time she sings. Singtrece hails from Erie, Pennsylvania, is married to local comedian and event promoter Kenneth McLaurin and they have 5 beautiful children. The love and joy the Singtrece feels just talking about singing, is infectious. No matter what is going on in her life, singing brings peace like nothing else.     

Following our interview I went to her website and found these words, “SingTrece is a living stone cold miracle entertainer and her gift of singing needs to be shared with the world. She encourages and inspires with every note she belts out. She does this so effortlessly with every song she writes or is asked to sing. What we probably didn’t know about SingTrece is that she is also a playwright, director, actress, songwriter and all around amazing woman. Well the amazing part, yeah we knew that!
