Discover Cayuga Lake Boat Tours & Floating Classroom provides recreational lake cruises and educational programs for Finger Lakes residents and visitors. Our programs emphasize human and natural history in a casual and engaging atmosphere on board our boat, the MV Teal. We seek outgoing individuals who support our non-profit mission and are able to assist with a range of events, from quiet sunset cruises to STEM education classes for local students.

The Crew Member position encompasses three areas of responsibility, and we are seeking individuals capable of performing all of them as needed. Our cruises include a crew of 2-5 people under the supervision of the Ship’s Captain and Program Directors. For more information, see the Crew Member Job Description.
Captain’s Mate Paid Summer Internship: Every summer we hire college-age interns to support mission-based programming, including stream ecology education, floating classroom cruises, youth mentorship, eco-tourism initiatives and boat operations.
